Not at all easy to make a sequel to Safari, titled disc decade, a collection of singoloni, one of the few records italiani ad aver davvero venduto, acclamato dalla critica, eccetera.
Eppure Jovanotti questa volta stupisce, e realizza un disco in cui il jovanottismo è permeato da un suono che più contemporaneo non si può, dove l'approccio party e comunicativo à la Black Eyed Peas si sposa con suoni electro-acidi, e dove l'universalismo positivista è sintetizzato in frasi ad effetto che ti entrano in testa e non ti mollano più - anche qui si prevedono almeno quattro singoloni di cui un paio di “riempipista” (tanto per riesumare parole antiche, la prossima sarà “dischi caldi”) per la prossima estate.
Non mancano le canzoni d'amore, nuovo marchio di fabbrica del nostro che questa volte tencheggia e approaches degregoriani songs and chansonnier French, but in "The Greatest Show after the big bang" is able to create a viral pop-rock love song which could become the "Hello mom, I enjoy watching as" Lawrence of mature love .
Of course, not everything works the same (high) level, the double disc will inevitably lead to falls of style - the part of African resort "The good life" - and the usual trappings of emotional shopping list (which is the son of Agua but also de Março Kiss Again) or electro with the insistence that texts might require a bit 'more raw and tough. But sins are forgiven.
The disc is worth to be heard - even if you love him, even once, it is so powerful - perhaps interspersed with reading Viva Everything, the beautiful book that has made the philosopher Franco Bolelli, thoughts and reflections written during the making of the disc.
