I am an architect since I was born and lived in a neighborhood near Piazzale della Libertà.
It 's a district that has developed from 1920 onwards, in which coexist in a civilized and educated different "social classes" ... I know, I know, the phrase is not politically correct, but a synthesis that expresses the concept.
In the district there are also some churches, with open spaces where youth I spent in leisure time doing sports, talk and where I learned some rules for coexistence and even education, which are added to those that my family had already submitted.
The priests who were not housed there intrusive, but watched on some major principles, in particular the respect and love of neighbor and non-violence, neither physical nor psychological.
But the Liberty Square has been my reference.
There were and are still other districts, whose squares or whose streets are named after the victims / heroes of Communism or Fascism, the districts that I honestly did not spend much, but I am friends with some of the residents.
Around the Square of Liberty that there are many houses, villas, houses, condominiums, shops and hotels. ... Some discussion, of course, is born or matters of strategic choices for the future of the neighborhood or to issues of coexistence for those who have different needs but no major scandals, the events are open and close in the appropriate locations, sometimes even in court. It 'clear that, as happens in a democracy the majority decides the strategic choices, but choices are not always shared civilly opposed.
There is a condominium, called PDL, which I moved a couple of years, with all my family, I left a much smaller building, called UDC. I did it because we had been promised by the owner of most milllesimi that living together would have been stronger in fighting inappropriate choices for the development of the area and we also expanded the building to accommodate new families, singles and all those who had wanted to get close to that famous Piazzale della Libertà.
